Hi everyone, I’m Volt of JOINenJOY and I would like to share some of my memorable experiences joining one of our tour packages. To start off, We arrived in Incheon International Airport at around 5am.
It was passed 9am when we arrived in Nami, We took a 10 min. ferry boat ride to reach the island. But it was worth the long travel, Nami was blooming with flowers and beautiful scenery. No wonder its one of the favorite destination in Korea specially if your a fan of Korean telenovelas, which was the filming site of the famous WINTER SONATA.
We went to Mt. Seorak after, its another 2 hour travel from Nami. We took a cable car to reach the top. It was exciting but at the same time scary if you have fear of heights. At the top there is still pathway to reach the summit. Once you’re there you’ll get to see the breathtaking view overlooking the Seoraksan province. After a long, tiring but enjoyable day we get check in our hotel at SUNVALLEY Resort. Here we get to experience the traditional Korean accommodation. Aside from the standard room with bed they also offer “ONDOL” rooms where in you get to sleep on the heated floor which was a different experience.
Come day two, We checked out of the hotel after breakfast, the highlight for me was going to Everland. The largest outdoor theme park of Korea. No visit here would be complete without trying T-Express, the dreaded tallest wooden roller coaster. Later in the afternoon we traveled back to Seoul for our final stop which was N-Seoul Tower. We took a lift to reach the top. A visit here would be best at night as you can see the beauty of the city covered with lights. In our Seoul accommodation we had Manu hotel. The hotel was nice, not to mention its good location as its just 15 min. walking distance away from Myungdong area, Seoul’s premier shopping district.
Day three was more of a historical tour as we visited Gyeongbok Palace and National Folk Museum. Later in the day we watched Nanta, a non verbal cooking comedy show which was both funny and entertaining. After dinner we had a chance to do a bit of shopping in Myeongdong. Don’t miss out on the street foods as well.
Our final day was highlighted with a cruise at the historical Han River. We also had a lunch buffet at Ashleigh’s then last minute shopping before going to the airport for departure to Manila.
It was indeed a blast traveling to Korea. You’ll get to see the beautiful places but its the people you meet that makes the tour worth remembering! : )
